Support the Parade

More than 50 years in the streets. The movement continues.

For more than five decades, New Yorkers have taken to the streets to challenge cannabis prohibition.

They marched when cannabis possession could mean arrest. They marched through decades of the drug war. They marched as public opinion changed, medical cannabis expanded and New York finally legalized adult use.

That victory didn't end the movement. It showed what sustained advocacy can accomplish.

Today, the parade carries that history into a broader movement for plant and psychedelic medicine, harm reduction, evidence-based drug policy and an end to the remaining harms of prohibition.

Why We March

Legalization was a milestone, not the finish line. We're marching to keep moving forward.

End Prohibition

Federal cannabis legalization and drug laws for psilocybin and ibogaine that evolve with evidence, research and public understanding.

Expand Access

Responsible access to cannabis and psilocybin, and a legal pathway for medically supervised ibogaine treatment, including in New York City.

Repair the Harm

Relief from the continuing consequences of nonviolent cannabis convictions, harm reduction and humane treatment for people affected by the drug war.

From Cannabis to a Broader Movement

What would drug policy look like if it were shaped by evidence, human experience and harm reduction instead of stigma and fear?

  • Cannabis: Where the movement began. From criminalization to legalization—and the work that remains.
  • Psilocybin: Rethinking psychedelics through research, public policy and changing attitudes toward prohibition.
  • Ibogaine: Research, advocacy, medical risk and the case for responsible, medically supervised pathways.

Million Mushroom March

Why the Mushrooms?

The Million Mushroom March grew from a simple idea: what would the spirit of the Million Marijuana March look like in a new era?

Mushrooms became a symbol of an expanding movement—one that honors the cannabis activists who came before while making room for psilocybin, ibogaine, harm reduction and broader drug-policy reform.

The mushrooms aren't replacing the history.
They're growing from it.
